Question Halo Headlights

Thinking of buying these for my SS, i currently have the stock foggy headlights with hids in my headlights and fogs, but i heard that if u run the halos off the fog light harness it burns out the ballast boxes, so where else can i run the power for these halos safetly???

Not sure what your getting that. if what your driving at, is to power the halos on, when you turn the fog lights on with the stock fog light switch (which is what I did), I've had this set up for over 2 years without any problems.

thats exactly what i mean, but are u running hids in ur fogs??? i heard it was bad to tap into the foglight harness with hids, to run the power for the halos? is this true?

Okay, we need to get on the same page...

Are you refer to "halos" as the entire headlight assembly, or the LED halo rings themselves?

For the headlights, they're just plug 'n play; replacing the stock headlight wiring harness. The separate wiring harness for the halo "rings" is what I tapped into the wiring of my fog lights. The power required for the LED halos is so minuscule that it's hardly recognizable. And I've been running this setup for almost 2 years.
Oh, and by the way, I replaced my stocker fog light housings with a pair of Hella Micro DE driving lights and replaced the stock Hella bulbs with a (10,000K) HID bulb kit.

Cobra hunter, do you have LEDs in the day time running lights as well? If so how do you get away without it being amber/yellow?

Well, basically what I did, and at the time it was a big leap of faith, I cut both the black and purple wires of the stock wiring harness BEFORE the fog light HID ballasts. Then I stripped them, and then soldered in the wiring of the halos. From what I remember, it was a real bitch trying to strip the plastic covering off. Then I wrapped the solder point really well with electrical tape. And voila! been running great ever since.

No, I just have clear corners. I have amber bulbs inside them.

I put mine on a separate switch inside the car, though I always leave them on like running lights.
