Default Edelbrock Pro Flow xt in an F-Body

I'm considering swaping my BBK SSI intake manifold for an Edelbrock pro flow xt in my 98 Trans Am. Does anybody know if it will clear the stock Ram Air hood, or do I gota get a new one? Also, what did you do about the air box setup?

+1 with the very few people running this intake there seems to be a lot of speculation on it.

being as simple as possible, ignoring plenum size, cross sectional area and intake pulses... the pro flo which is basically a tunnel ram has the best of both worlds.. long runners of a dual plane (+1 for low end power) and the straight shots at the cylinders of a single plane (+1 for high end power). this produces a super broad power curve.

to be warned the hood did not just fit i did have to cut out the hood supports underneath and shim the rear of it about 1/2 of an inch

i dont know what it would take to get a ws6 hood or ss to work but i would imagine it would be less then the z28

no shimming of the k
i cut the the supports out of the center of the hood(had no affect on strength)

and then i shimed the hood up about 3/8 to 1/2 inch(see pics)

my tb does rub a lil but its a huge 95mm lol
