Default Predator Z Spec'd 230cam/Stock 243s/LS6 intake goes 411/388

The engine was entirely built by the owner, I just did the tune, new clutch and tick master. Details:

-2000 Formula
-Stock/unmilled 243's
-230/230 .612/.592 111+2
-SVO 30lb injectors
-LS7 lifters
-Pacesetter headers w/ ypipe
-SLP 2OTL catback
-Powerbond pulley
-Cutout
-Spec Stage 3 clutch w/ tick master cyl
-4:10 gears

Cliff notes:
*The peak #'s aren't anything to write home about, but the TQ curve is pretty sexy. It should also be noted the car has heavy autocross 315/35R17 tires/wheels out back.
*The dyno graph shows runs made through the cutout. Surprising enough, the 2OTL exhaust only gave up 3 HP to the cutout. Pretty damn impressive for a 15 yr old designed exhaust.
*Ignore the A/F readings. The dyno's A/F was acting up. Via my LM1, A/F readings were ~12.7 all the way through.
*Sorry for the thumbnail attachment. I'm out of hosting space.

Not bad dude.. Almost what my #'s are with a similar cam. What intake? And the cutout works well for the lower RPM ranges, but I've heard that after 4k rpm, the flow kind of bypasses the cutout.... .. Depending on the exhaust, too.

Stock LS6 intake.

The peak #'s aren't impressive, but the TQ curve is very good. I'd wager to say this car would do 420/400 through a more dyno friendly wheel/drivetrain setup, relatively speaking.

Thanks Josh for getting the tune dialed in....I was having all sorts of issues across the board with the prior tune, Josh was able to get in, get it all sorted out and get a very driver friendly tune in for a 230 cam with good idle. I wanted the car street tuned, not just dyno tuned. I rarely visit the track and wasn't looking for peak numbers, more across the board performance and broad torque curve to keep the car pulling. And it carries nicely too up to 6500 and doesn't fall flat.

The new Spec Clutch and Tick MC far better than the old stocker unit that came out. There were battles to be fought with this bird, Josh pulled it off and got the car back in shape and on the road.

And the 2OTL SLP exhaust on a H/C car sounds badassssss, much louder, deeper and flows helluva lot better than my Magnaflow. A FAST 90 or 92 is in the future, $$$$ permitting, I am very happy with the results of how everything came together and getting the right tune in it.....big thanks to Josh @ Spartan Performance.

My car with a 224 cam and a 5 angle valve job on 243 heads milled to 62ccs did 411 / 387 through a LS7 clutch and heavy 17" zr1 wheels. Through a LS6 intake with no underdrive. I now have a ported fast 85mm and underdrive. Hoping for 430/400.

I hear they've got cookies on sale over at Kroger. Go getcha one.

Steve, I def. agree the 2OTL smokes the Magnaflow in terms of sound. I'd wager to say the Magnaflow would give up more than 3HP vs. the cutout too. You made a wise choice there. Just hack off those donkey **** tips down a couple inches and you're good to go.

I just wanted to say good results and I know how a car with an identical power curve drives. I can't imagine how it feels with the 4.11s. I will be getting some soon though. Peak numbers don't mean a whole lot and I know the car drives awesome.

That curve is AWESOME!

And major props to running the 2OTL! I ******* LOVE that exhaust. Not only does it look sick but it sounds wayy good! Great to see it flow as well as it does too.

Nice numbers man. My 2OTL lost 14rwhp/10 tq everywhere vs open 3.5" cutout. Still wouldn't trade it for anything though.
