Long studs and wheel adapters...fit?
I have the longer APR wheel studs. Will these not work with a wheel adapter? I was going to have my ws6 wheels widened to 11" out back but now I'm thinking it's not going to work out. I heard using a spacer on the rear is not as safe as a hub centric wheel adapter.
Any input?

I run decent adapters out back for my 17x11 WS6 wheel. They're not the high dollar H&R adapter but they are hub centric on both sides, high strength aluminum and came with grade 10.9 hardware. I have no issues with these. I wouldn't run a spacer larger than a 1/2" without it being an adapter.
The hub will bolt on with the longer studs no problem. The factory studs have small unthreaded nubs on the ends and they stick out slightly from my 1'' adapter. There are holes/pockets on the backside of the wheel in between the lugnuts that these stick into. The ARP studs might clear. It depends on how deep those pockets are. If they don't clear then you'll need to do grind down the studs some.
Here's the clearest picture I have of the backside of a WS6 wheel. I found this while searching for narrowed front runners.

I forgot about the holes/pockets on the inside of the wheels. I'll do some measuring and see how deep they are to see if I can run a 1" adapter. Thanks for your help.

i see why now...cause the holes are alot smaller on my wheel than on the picture you posted.....my wheel is an 01 WS6 speedline wheel.
if i cut my studs shorter just to where the threads start...(thats all i need).....and if i wanna go back to using no spacers....will i be screwed when i try to put a wheel on?
