i repaired my dash pad for $50 and looks like stock i started by using plastic opxi to get it to one peice and hold all of the crakes together than i ssanded and scuffed th back side than layed a single layer of fiberglass. than i sanded the op side and did light filler work, I'm going to be spraying light undercoating on the top side to match the stock texture than im painting it to match the stock color
Fiberglass doesn't stick too well to plastic FYI. I seems too, but after time it won't. I would know. I was probably one of the first to do it over 6 years ago. I did it to a perfect dash. Needless to say its still perfect, but I took mine out to wrap it in vinyl leather. The fiberglass was separated on a good portion of it. I scuffed up the plastic really well too.
I drilled holes in the fiberglass and shot in some super glue. Now that works like a charm!
About 50% done, then I sprayed it black.

It actually matches ebony and texture almost perfectly.

I got pissed off at mine, I had patched it back together with the plastic epoxy but everytime I picked it up to move it around the room it cracked in other places, its currently sitting in 3 pieces on my back porch till I figure out a way to get it all together solid enough to wrap, like hotwhip's, my plan was to fiberglass the back, it may be good enough to hold it together till I get it wrapped atleast.
Hancock Fabric or JoAnn Fabric. It is used in automotive applications. I've seen the stuff at car upholstery shops. This is by Spradling and its called Whisper. Feels super nice and stretches well.
