Just curious, was your cracking before or after poly motor mounts? I would think there would be almost no risk of cracking the lid because of the fernco with poly motor mounts....

Before the poly mounts. The motor still tweaks over a *slight* amount with them, but nothing crazy like before.

I'd say it moves exactly how much I want it to.

With my retarded sized cam I bet I would crack a clear lid on an idle with bad motor mounts.

That sounds sweet, who sells a green filter though? Sounds a lot sexier than my paper STP filter. Don't really wanna run an oiled filter though, or I'd just put my K&N back in there.

I got mine from MTI about one year ago. $120.
If you work on the car take the lid off and don't let anything but a micro fiber cloth touch it. They scratch easily. I knew about the scratching and used these steps from day one and it still looks like new one year later. Here's a picture:

Had mine for two years from MTI and no problems yet. You'll get a lot of compliments from it. Not many people have a clear lid. Most people have never seen one, i mean other cars, like mustangs, imports and stuff. They look awesome. I have K&N under mine, but i've also seen red filters, and blue looks good too.

I've got a smoked clear lid from TSP that I purchased about 1 year ago and I love the way it looks !! I might have to change over to a green filter instead of my K&N one I have now !

Haven't had any problems with mine !

I've been thinking. Those TCS boxes look like hell. Well more like a sore thumb. I have been wondering if anyone has relocated it to UNDER the PCM? There's a pretty big space under there, and I bet it would fit. The cables could go under the A/C lines or something. It would clean up your engine bay just a little bit more, and go great with your !wiremod.

I'd try it myself, but I don't have TCS.

That's a great idea, but I wasn't looking to relocate them; I was planning to delete the scuzz control out of the bay.

I'll take a peak at the spot you mentioned... I may just do a free write-up on it. ~Joshua

Where did you guys get the green filter at??? That thing looks sick. I the MTI lid and its cracked, but ghetto-fixed with glue. I bought the car w/ that lid on it, do you think MTI would hook me up? Doubtful, but thought I would ask here first.
