I have the TSP smoked lid. Too bad they don't make them anymore. I have not had mine crack yet and it's been on for almost 3 years.

dont the 01-02 cars have a air line coming off the air lid? do you just put a breather on the motor sie of the hose or do the lids come with the hose and hole for it?

I have a clear MTI lid on my car and I just put a small K&N breather on the end of the AIR hose. I will eventually delete the entire AIR system once the headers go in, though. The only lid that I know of that has the AIR provision is the SLP and that is because it came factory on some SS cars and needed to be compatible.

I need to polish mine.. from working on the engine bay all winter.. it kinda got slightly scratched...

I would not choose another lid though, the clear one is hands down the best!

If you work on the car take the lid off and don't let anything but a micro fiber cloth touch it. They scratch easily. I knew about the scratching and used these steps from day one and it still looks like new one year later. Here's a picture:
I'm waiting until you come out with that clear bellow before I order mine.

Hurry up!

hope I am not hijacking

Is there anyway to get the clear lid to look like new again? I was looking at Firehawk608's lid and can't remember mine looking like that.

You can polish the plastic using a special buff and plastic polish. You can hook the deal to a corded drill and make it happen.

If it's scratched then forget about it; if it's simply lost it's luster you can polish, but be warned!- Plastic can be burned by the buff easily if you spend more than 3 seconds in the same spot and if you try to get results too quickly.

When you call Eastwood tell them you need a "wheel arbor" to mount the 1/2" hole buff to your corded drill. They will hook you up. It should cost about $5.
Plastic supplies....

Buff Wheel 6 Inch String

For Extremely gentle Buffing On Plastic
Bring side markers, turn signals, tail light lenses to shiney, like-new condition. Thousands of 1 3/4" long cotton strands reach deep into details to gently polish and shine without overheating and melting plastic. Use with Plastic Buffing compound.

13029 Buff Wheel 6 Inch String 1/2 Inch Hole $24.99

Autosol Metal Polish

World-famous Autosol polish provides a brilliant gloss and long-lasting weather protection on all metals from aluminum to zinc. It removes rust and oxidation without excessive abrasion - perfect for chrome and nickel plated parts. Great for polishing fiberglass and plastics, too. 13170 Metal Polish 100gm Tube Autosol $9.99

as for the color of the filters.. the k&n is actually white untill you put the k&n oil on it but you can use green oil or blue oil to change the color.. k&n recomends using there oil, but dirtbike air filter oils just as good.. i got a question for the clear lid though is it any bigger then an slp lid, when i got my car an slp lid was already on it.. but i heard the granatelli and a few others flowed better.

Are there any clear lids that match up to the 85mm MAFs?

I'm building up a 2003 Longblock and am looking at a 90mm TB, and already got the 85mm MAF, don't need to add a restriction at 78mm.
