Your mph is capable of high 12's. Just get the 60' down. These cars can be really impressive with just bolt-ons. Mine went 12.47 @ 111 with full bolt-ons minus the pulley.

Ohh yeah, change the plugs and leave the wires. Also, don't mess with the bellows, it will just make it difficult to take your lid on and off.

So just return the wires? So its not worth the money then?

Unless you have a bad wire, I'd return 'em. Check your stockers with an OHM meter. My taylors are commin off SOON, I can't stand the radio interferance anymore. I only put them on for looks, anyways.

It is absolutely possible. I ran a 13.09 @ 111 with a K&N FIPK, a GMMG catback, SLP Y-pipe, and a March pulley. I ran it on stock GSC's with 3.42's. I could have run a better time but my traction sucked. Since then, I have added headers and will soon be adding a S3 TB. Hopefully, I'll be in the mid 12's running ~115 mph. Good luck man.

Get the 60' down below 2.0 and you'll be impressed. If your on street tires, go around the water and clean them off. Don't do a burnout, just clean them off. If you are still on the ls6 clutch, try ridding it out a while and not dumping it. I cut low 1.9 60's on my fuzions with this method. Launching at about 3.5k

So do you guys think it is possible or is it a pipe dream. And if it is a pipe dream, the next step would be headers correct?

Dude, ive seen a decent driver run high 12s with his 2002 T/A on street tires with just a drop in K&N filter. its all in the launch technique
by looking at your 60' i would say you are either spinning alot or almost stalling it

Depends on the track and conditions, but 12's and 110 traps should be easy with bolt-ons.

I went the time in my sig on stock 16x8 wheels, Kumho 712 tires, headers, ORY-pipe, cutout, custom ram air, filter, lid. I only had about 334rwhp.

I did about the same a long time ago with a lid and hooker muffler. I trapped at 109 with a 13.1 and the same 60ft. This was about at 900' elevation on a 80 degree night. I managed to do some great shifting, but never hit 109 again. High 107s and mid 108s were typical.

Ubergiest, the tune is from TR. I'm local so they did it while I waited, but they can also do it via mail. It leans the car out some and adds more spark. It raises the RPM limiter and deletes unnecessary emmissions.

Good luck.

I would 100% plan on changing the plugs. The stock OEM platinum plugs suck and literally fall apart. You'll see this when you have the old ones out. This is something cheap to do. Do a search on this, and you'll be fully convinced to change your old plugs for a set o NGK TR55s gapped at .055".

My times and mods in sig. if that helps. Tires and stall or gears as in my case
go a long way.You will have your best times in fall and spring with the cool temp.

its all in the 60ft man my car went 12.8@110 with a cutout as the only mod (dont recall the 60ft) and then i added 4.11s in the rear and a lid and went 12.3 @110 (no MPH gain to to change in weather). IMHO there is no need for any sort of tuning on a bolt on car. if you got the money to throw around then go for it.

I say get:
1. lid and belows and a fast toys ram air
2. Cutout or catback
3. some nittos drs
4. LCAs
5. The BG ram air mod /or home made one using weather stripping

with that stuff and honing on your driving skills you will run 12s all day

So since I am already changine the plugs wouldn't be a good idea to change the wires to the MSD SuperConducters?

And everybodyelse thanks for the info, can't wait to get back to the track now.

If you have access to an electrical "multi-meter" you can measure the resistivity of each wire and compare resistance deviation. If all of the wires measure similar in ohms, conclude that you do not have a bad wire.

Be careful pulling the factory wires off the sparkplugs. Pull the boot not the wire. Pulling by the wire will be a quick way to need a set of wires. If all of your wires spec out acceptable, there is no advantage to aftermarket wires for your car. When the time does roll around for you to change wires, the inexpensive Taylor wires will be more than adequate.
