you have to properly set up a car with any modifications you do. if you put a stall in it you need to have it tuned, so the car knows whats going on.

its like putting a Trex in your stock LS1 and complaining to the cam manufacture when it runs like crap because you didnt get a tune and you keep on breaking valve springs and mashing valves against pistons..

oh, and DA and the track location play heavily into track times.. a car in southern california is going to turn much better times than a car in denver or kansas in the middle of the summer

I have a full bolt on except ls6 manifold, plus a FMS f13 cam with valvetrain and pro dyno tune (EPP)

My car only put down 299whp (mustang dyno) and it feels like i am slipping a LOT up top. I was going to send mine back and get a full lock up.. but i cant get ahold of john.

For the record i thought john had great customer service... but now all i get is instant voicemail.

Heres my dealings with my Fuddle.

When I bought my Fuddle 3400 in Feb John was great and always responded to emails and calls. Lots of people were happy with the converters at the time. 2 months later its April and I finally got it installed at Speed inc With an FLT Level 3 and A TUNE! the Fuddle always felt like it was slipping up top also was a bit clunky going in and out of lockup and Yes again IT WAS TUNED. It just would not go in and out of lockup all that smoothly. Trans was fine fluid level was there. It had to be conveter. I tried many times for a month or so to get a hold of John but no answers to anyhitng and gave up. Figured I'd save for a Vig or Yank.

Well then after a couple months it started to chatter comming out of lockup and slip out of lockup. I called fuddle again got the VM all the time and email was full. I had the money for the new converter but was too busy to deal with it at that point. So I only drove it short trips when I absolutly had to for a week.. then parked it for a week while I was away on a trip. I came home after the trip and drove it on a Sat morning because I had no choice and surprise!! TC let go and messed up my trans too! I didn't bother wasting the breath calling Fuddle anymore. I just droped the car off at Speed Inc and had the FLT gone through and a Vig 3600 installed.

Now the Fuddle netted me a 1.68 60's on MT Dr's and usually 1.7's. Great 60's for the few mods I have. Trap speeds were all over the place though.. I had 1 freakish 105 trap speed rest were 101-103 all during one day at the track.

Now the Vig 3600 was installed with no tuning changes form the 3400's tune. I don't have any track times yet but its much smoother and power is much more linear and consistant. Lockup is perfectly quiet and it sure feels a lot better on the top compared to the Fuddle.

I can't recomend anyone gets a Fuddle converter and anyone that has one and has a problem don't bother going through Fuddle. Check this thread instead..

I'd get it out now. I don't know what clutch material was used, but if it is a kind that disintegrates, the chatter will be introducing crap into the tranny. If it is just from glazing, it is more annoying than dangerous, but why wait for problems and the added stress?

Agree. However, you could try to tune it out by logging the LU/Release points as you might be holding it on for too long and locking it up too early. Other things you can try is eliminating PWM and tuning in 100% apply pressure - all tunable parameters.

Pulling it out is an option after you have exhausted all you can do in the tune. But don't just leave it and forget it. Chatter is no good - period.
