Default Molded CME Valance...

Does anyone mold there CME valance to there bumper. I saw a camaro this weekend at the track up close with CME and it looked really good, however it would look a lot cleaner if it the valance was molded to the bumper.

Does anyone do this? Pics? Any downsides to this? Also, what companies make CME kits? Which is the cleanest?

Thanks,
Nick

There are no bumpers sold with the CME molded into it. SLP doesn't even make it anymore, so you're looking to pay upwards of $500 for one. Nobody makes the valence yet, but Joshua will be soon I believe. I know I have a picture of a silver Camaro on here at home, but I'm at school now. I'll post some up.

There are definitely people that have blended the CME valences into the bumpers...I had thought about it, but would really be in a bind if I had done that. My valence is currently cracked, and needs fixed. If I had had it blended, it would be that much more work to have it fixed. Since those lovely people at SLP decided to stop making them, you can only find them for ungodly prices on Ebay, if even there. People are getting $650+ for valences alone (no tips included).

CME is nice, but if you are ever in an accident or end up backing into a huge icy pile of snow (like me ), you'd better be resourceful to get it fixed.

I really want to have mine molded after I get the car running.

What did they use to mold it to your bumper?

IMO, the demand went up after they stopped making them...as soon as it became a rarity, people started coming out of the woodwork left and right.

Obviously, you didn't read my thread very well. I know they do not make bumpers wih CME molded into it.

I know that SLP stopped making them, but are there no other manufactures? You said Joshua will be selling valances soon?

They used the plastic body filler that comes in the tubes. Stuff's expensive but it literally made the two one piece. It was also reinforced from the back as well. They grabbed the whole thing and twisted it back and forth to show me. Someone commented that mine sort of has a line to it and it is a bit rounded but the others I've seen are the same but it tends to stand out more on white. To me it looks more like a stock piece with a body line then if it ran just straight down but looks are obviously subjective. Here's a couple that are closer up.

I like the CME because in camaros it looks like the rear bumper is to high compared to the rest of the car. With the CME valance the car looks more proportional. Plus it looks cleaner with the tips in the center, it makes the lines of the car flow more, it makes the car look more exotic. Another good thing is that it hides the muffler from being visible from the rear of the car. Just my opinion though.

I wish they would start making them again at a decent price. They look good molded or not. I will probably not get mine molded just because in case of a fender bender from the rear.

that's about exactly how i feel, camaro bumpers seem way too high without anything on them, and the CME valance flows very well, it matches the rocker line along the side of the cars very well IMO
