Default What to do with LS2 valley plate tube?

I replaced my factory LS1 engine with LS2 stroker 402 short block. And I am keeping everything from the LS1 engine that I can reuae,,, heads, LS6 intake, ported TB. I have the relocation wiring harness fior the cam sensor and Knock sensors, that part is OK. There are several differences, one being that the valley plate has a tube coming off of it up near the TB.

What do I do with this tube?

One more thing to mention. When I removed my intake, a fair amount of oil dripped out of the intake. What would cause this? Are the two things I mention here connected?

Run the LS2 valley cover nipple to the inlet of a catch can.
Outlet of catch can run to side of intake manifold.

Run hose from throttle body air supply to front valve cover.
Blank rear valve cover nipples and throw away LS1 PCV valve.

I assume that this will elimenate the "oil in the intake" problem.

Maybe not entirely but it will help a lot.
Less oil in the intake helps your engine run better by reducing carbon (burnt oil) build up on the plugs and heads.
Drain the gunk from the catch can every few weeks and you'll wonder how you ever got by without one.

On my blownup LS1 engine, each piston had a thick carbon buildup layer. Also, I was burning about one quart of oil every 2,000 miles, never knew where it was going. Now I know!

I was thinking you were talking about the big nipped that sticks up in the back of the valley cover at first. I"m curious what you do about that? Doesnt the LS1 valley cover have 2 holes that the large round sensor/plugs go down into? What do you do with those 2 differences?

Its the knock sensors that are mounted down in those holes as you say of the LS1 valley cover. The LS2 valley cover does not have them, that is why you need the knock sensor extension harness to relocate the knock sensors to the side of the LS2 block.

where do you plug in the sensors, I have the knock sensors pluged in and where the cam cover is, that is plug in. So where does the other two get pluged in?

I did the same thing as you so I will try to help you out to the best of my ability.
Assuming you have the extensions for the knock sensors...

The 2 knock sensors need to go on either side of the block
You also need the LS2 front cover that can accept the new cam position sensor location. uncapped the Valley plate tube for the time being just so the rotating assembly can get some air. I will be changing over to a catch can style setup this winter.
Also I just
