Default Picture & question for C5R experts.

Looking at the included pictures, do you see a problem with this head gasket and the C5R head behind it? There are no holes in the gasket for the middle holes in the head. These are the gaskets you get when you order C5R head gaskets. My question is, will these gaskets installed with the pictured heads cause an overheating problem?

Will a Red X work? I'll try again.

My 'toshiba flash cards has stopped working' so this compooter is acting real weird. Runtime error and some 302 error ain't helping. I'll get 'er done somehow.

here....upload of file failed. F*** it.
Alright I'll describe it. The C5R 090 and maybe all C5R heads have 4 coolant holes between the middle two cylinders on each side. They match the coolant holes in the block. The head gasket does not allow flow through these passages. Before we reassemble this engine, it detonated and blew a freeze plug out last time, I want to be sure this is normal. After all, if the passage ways are in the block and head why would the gasket block them??

here it is.....why does the head gasket block off the center water passages?
This head ran hot and the engine had a bad detonation problem. Don't want to make the same mistake again.

another, the coolant passages in the block and the head line up but the gasket blocks off several of them. Detonaltion was an issue in the first build. Overheating was possibly an issue too.

Better pictures: having a problem resizing pic. You can see in the second picture above that the head gasket blocks off all the coolant passages except for two small ones on one end of the head. These heads ran hot and the detonation could only be controlled with race gas. How could these heads not run hot with those gaskets?
