hmmmm
maybe not sooo
the pinicle of n/a racing, the boys run 8 a/f sensors in there exhaust
pro stock engines.
so do , some don't
i have seen both headers on dyno, it is REAL easy to tune the fuel curve, and give the engine what it wants...

Most Pro Stock guys run them on the dyno only.

That is what we do. Use them on the dyno to get the cylinders balanced.

the EGT's are too slow for tuning. They give decent data and will tell you if you have anything going away.

I use the EGT's in the car but only one wide band on the passenger side collector.

+1. It is preferable to have O2 sensors for tuning. That is why you won't see an EGT come from any OEM on your production gasoline powered vehicle. The EGT will not "directly" tell you how close to stoich you are, an O2 sensor will.

Robin hit the nail on the head for what I'm trying to achieve.

I've used EGT's for my drag racing data, but you are right they are too slow and are great for reference when you download your data.

I'm wanting to know what it takes to manage each cylinder and keep the engine happy.

Thanks for they replies.
