Default Piston Deck Clearance Question

Ive been trying out this calculator for some different set-ups. This calc where it says "Enter Piston Deck Clearance" is pre set to .016 in the hole. Why? Is this the norm? Will different engine builds be a different #?

It all depends on your pistons, rods, crank, the deck height of the block, etc. Every engine is different.

Just use the -.007 for a stock set up.... Some a little more, some a little less.

u say it is pre-set to .016 can u change it? If not, u could factor it in together w/ gasket thickness. I use a calculator on procrastination racings' homepage, works great

ok, I just tried it, very accurate, but, the other one will also give engine displacement in litres and ci as there is an additional input for # of cyls
