has anyone taken a set of stock LS1 rods and bushed them for floating pins? given my setup, the only pistons i can use have a .927 pin, so i need to bush the rods to use them.
what i need is a P/N for the bushings, and the O/d as well as I/D so i can decide how i need to go about this.
im going to install the bushings myself at school.
or....
does anyone know if the LS2/LQ9 rods iuse the .927 pins or just floated .945 pins....

i imagine why they dont give you the OD is becauese the proper way to do it is to hone the small end to size, however, the equipment i have doesnt have the capabilities to accuartely hone the small end of the rod. and if i have to have the small end honed at a machine shop, and the bushings installed...well, i will have as much money in these stock rods as i would in a set of SCAT H-beams with the ends already bushed. so im really trying to make this work without having to change the small end any.
The OEM bushed rods are for a .945" pin, I have a set of LS2's in my garage if you need any measurements.
What other parts are you using that forces you to use a piston with a .927" pin?

A block with a 9.2182 deck height that forces me to use a piston with a compression depth for a 6.125 rod, on stock rods.
A cheaper route could even be Probe's 4032 pistons, PN 2600F, which have a 1.340 CH, so you'd need .020" taken off, and they're only ~$400.

i forgot to mention this is a 370. going in a 6.0 iron block.
i went with the K398X3 it puts me .005 in the hole, (which is no big deal) and i am a personal freind of the guy at the machine shop and he found some bushings. 70 bucks bought and installed.
