Will this work???? Ok guys so me and my dad were sitting and thinking the other day on stuff to do to my car that could make it a sleeper and we came up with putting an LS7 in my 2001 grand am and possibly making it four wheel drive and we are prepared to make the space for the drive shaft to go to the back and possible frame work

Take a good look at the newer Cadillac awd models....I think some parts from one of these would do just what you want and need, plus be lighter/more compact that 4wd truck parts.
But to answer your question, yes you can do it, and with some time and planning shouldn't be THAT difficult if you can cut, weld and do some fab work...I wish you were close to me because I'd love to help on a project like this!
