Engine priming with scavenge pump

Engine priming with scavenge pump a scavenge pump sucks the oil from the oil pan to the oil line before the oil filter before starting the engine.
but I am not sure about one thing , the oil may return to the oil pump instead of going to the engine.
the reason for this idea is because the car usually sit for more than week so in the long run the bearings are going to wear out.
what do you think guys , any opinion ?

it may return to the pump but it may not just "flow" right through the pump and down the pickup tube, it probably backs up and gets pumped up top anyways
one way to test it to take a valve cover off and turn on the scavenge pump and see if any oil gets pumped up through the push rods. turn the engine over too either with the starter or by hand

the Accusup stuff is pretty pricey, but that's for pre-startup priming or for loss of oil pressure emergencies so it can shoot some oil in to give you enough time to shut the engine down before it blows. It's not designed to prime an otherwise unprimed engine where all of the gallies, lifters, and pushrods are dry. It takes several minutes of flowing oil to get the lifters full of oil and bled of air. Not to mention, who wants to pay 300 bucks for that?

I run an accusump, it will build up your oil pressure to just over 20psi before firing if used with a solenoid switch, better than no pressure on start up.
Plus is good insurance while running the car on any spirited driving.
