Choosing Trans Gears Based on Powerband Starting to do some research on 5 and six speeds, I have a firebird with a Muncie that does not make it very highway friendly.
I am wondering if anyone here might know where exactly gears should come in ideally on the power band. I have been assuming right before peak torque but I cant find any information to verify that.
the plan is to figure out where the gears on the new trans need to come in I like doing the math on stuff so the more info the better.
