? about DOD/AFM delete

I have 08 gmc sierra 5.3l just got a procharger kit and ordering cam,springs,rods from comp not doing anything insane on cam. As I was talking to comp cam they said I needed to get a dod/afm delete kit. Ive never messed with this any info would be helpful even tricks. I notice the kit has alot of stuff is there anything else I might need can rec a good kit?
