LS stock crank offset grinding Does anybody know how far you can offset grind the rod bearing journals on a stock LS crankshaft ?
Plan is to cut the rod journals down to the honda journal size (2.100 to 1.889) and off set grind to slightly destroke so the engine fits in the cubic inch rules requirement for the class.

I'm about to have a stock crank offset ground to correct the piston deck height but over .200 offset is not a good idea since not only will it weaken the crank but the oiling holes will move to an undesirable location on the bearings and could cause durability issues. IIWY I'd consider .100 max.
Some real good crank shops can also nitride for you as well.
