I meet many people from those who say theyve wrenched on cars all thier life to those who work on formula 1 technology to the guy who just likes cars.
Tell us a litte about your background and Credentials... here's your chance to brag and we still reserve the right to call
But hey, one of these days ill be in the seat. I enjoy wrenching on the car, taking tire temps, and pressures after a run, watching the man (john) adjust valves, set the timing, jetting the carb... its fun stuff. Im hanging a body on a car right now, building some interior pannels, ducking, and minor stuff like that. I just enjoy the hell out of it. This new advanced tech area is bad ***! Trending Topics

Currently in a high performance motorsports program in ohio which is everything from drivelines, fuel systems, machining etc etc
Had the Z since early '01, pretty much learned on it as I went along.
I feel comfortable doing most installs, and working on different things, but I've paid for alot of the work on the car for issues with time, etc...
I do all my own wrenching. Aside from laying the actual color on my car, and welding the exhaust, I built the entire thing, unibody up. Literally. All brakes, suspension, engine, interior, body panels, body work, etc. Are you insinuating people get PAID for that?
I might be doing some wrenching for a Top Fuel team this spring/summer if time permits.

Not too bad for a 23 year old punk.
I spend hours reading in Advance Tech because I have a serious passion for cars and anything car related. Besides it gets boring reading threads about what exhaust sounds the best
Edit: Oh yeah, i'm 25 years old and have been an ls1 enthusiast since about 19 years of age.

Apprentice for two local shops.
Also help friend during summer weekends in his speed shop. Learn most of
my engine tech from him as he builds his own engines (40+ years in racing).
Better learning environement than any schooling, or garage experience I have had.
College degree in Electronics Engineering Tech. Been in the field for 12 years
and counting.
No formal training in engine building, but assemble everything on my own based
on what I've learned in school, working and reading automotive tech books.
I like the idea of this thread. I have a tough time distinguishing who the
credible writers are when it gets into hardcore engine physics.
