Why are there no Large single pattern split cams?
Why are there no Large single pattern split cams? Normally for split pattern cams you might see at most 15 degrees of difference.
What would happen if you made a 205/240 cam, or vice versa, or something of that nature?
Same thing with lift, what would happen if you were to run it in a normal lsx motor?

You may not like it, but it would run.
The intake lobe needs to be big enough to fill the cyl.
The exhaust lobe needs to be big enough to evacuate the cyl.
If they're too small, you don't get enough air through the motor.
If they're too big, you don't trap enough air in the motor.
