the faster the crank is spinning the more it wants to "shred" the oil that is falling on it and aerate it, not a big problem on an average street motor but in higher revving stuff it gets dangerous.

So I just need to call you at Stef's to get the ball rolling? I work for Lamar Walden racing engines. I know we've ordered a ton of stuff before from Stef's.
Thanks for responding
LOnSLO,
The "409 KING". Well small world. You don't have to get me involved. Stan is who I would recommend you work with. 732 367 8700 Since you are already a customer that is fine. He will fax you down the base wetsump/external drawing we have and you can check to be sure it will fit with your chassis and header constraints. We use the SCP oil pump if you need us to supply the pump also. You may want to upgrade the filter fitting to one's we sell to the cup guys. It is great for inspection and has a removable filter for easy cleaning.

I was planning on using the Peterson single stage, but am interested to see what the SCP looks like. Sounds like you guys have it wrapped up.
Thanks!

The Camaro LS1 lacks a full windage tray due to the K member/oil pan. Truck motors have a full windage tray. Does it make a big difference?

Limitations of chassis configurations will not allow for full windage screens in some applications, but yes it is always better to have a full length windage screen.

Our screen in extensive testing will out perform others when it comes to making power. 5HP in a 830HP engine does not sound like a big increase but when there is a $10M a year sponsorship on the line, every HP advange adds up.

Chris that 5hp with your screen is that over other screens or motors with out a windage screen. Just curious what horsepower gains one might see with a windage screen versus one without one. Say a motor turning over 6K.

That was our teflon coated diamond style screen compared to the competitions screen in back to back testing at one of the engine shops in NC that builds 358CID engines.

Of the screen, sure...

Well I can not seem to up load the pic off of our website. I don't want to post a link and get in trouble with the board.
I can e-mail you a pic if you like.
