well, i can say this much....
someone i know accidently put his window switch for 2000 instead of 3000 and sprayed a 135 wet shot from a nossle in the bellow... HUGE backfire and cracked his intake.
this was on a proven, sprayed it 30+ bottles nitrous car...
based only on that, id say, 2000 is a little low for a 150 wet shot..lol.

In the stock LS1 I referenced, (from a good engine simulation program) average intake port velocity was about 80 feet per second (fps) @ 2000 and increased linearly with rpm. (160 fps @4000 and 240 fps @ 6000).

Intake flow (CFM) is not linear with rpm as you might expect, but it's fairly close. If a "150" shot injects the same amount of nitrous and fuel independent of rpm, it could easily be too much for a slow rev from 2000. In first gear engine speed is increasing over 1000 rpm/sec.
no problem. my fault in the beginning. this is what will really help alot. in first gear at 2000 rpms, with the engine reving 1000 rpm/sec, the mixture is just moving too quickly to be a problem with using nitrous at 2000 rpms. now, this is also dependant on how much as well. 50-150 IMO just isn't a problem for a LS1 along with most v8 engines. now 250+ might be. which is why i say, if the motor and drivetrain can handle it, then do it. just be prepared to pay for playing.

it's just one of those debates that will never be solved.

and i've be doing 150+ for at least 20+ bottles without failure just on my 00 formula. i won't count the 99 formula and my 86TA. so, based on that, i'd say it's just fine. i've been as low as 1500 rpms at the track and 1000 rpms on the dyno. and i'm refering to first gear.

now 3rd (auto) or 4th (manual) might be a problem. good thing about autos is they will downshift.
