JL, HP per dollar wise, I think your right. None of these plastic intakes are going to produce high rpm HP like the single plane set up.

Does anybody make a plastic single plane? Wouldnt that be the best of both worlds? No heat soak and flow of the single plane.

Im hoping Barry Grant will come out with this Individual Throttle body setup:
http://www.barrygrant.com/pages/sema06.aspx
If the base is cast aluminum it should help keep the cost down and will be the best hp per $ intake. Im just hoping and guessing. When I called them the guy on the phone didnt know anything about it.

Dont get too carried away and forget the whole thing as too much work.

At least we want to see mamo vs unported fast, then add a homeported job on for extra fun.

All the rest is small biscuits after that.

Too bad you guys are on the east coast. I'd love to submit my home ported fast 90 & AFR 225's for testing.

Thought about that a while ago... would be nice, you'd have no heat soak, a ton of material that would be easier to port then a metal intake, should/could be alot cheaper if someone just made it injection molded and had a finish step of machining the faces where it contacts the heads/elbow, etc.etc.

Could be done, and would certainly be cheaper then alum, but noone's done it yet. Surprising to say the least.

Of course you'll get abused. You know you're in the land of the internet. Everyone has a 9sec car, 460rwhp from a small cam, and is 6'8" and benches 550lbs.

Can you post them?

If not, Regal99GS@aol.com. Thanks!

If you're interested, I can host as long as my server doesn't crash.

Then there's no reason that we can't get one that way too.

I have been really looking at the fast intake and there is a lot of improvement that they could do to it. I wish I could win power ball. I would have a lot of trick stuff.

don't you think the injector placement could of been better on the barry grant cross-ram?

I don't get this whole thread, the single plane with an elbow and your choice of throttle body should flow more than a ported fast out of the box...Not many cars on this site need to even port it. Not to mention if you wanted to port match, i'm sure the single plan would cost less and be easier. I can't believe someone mentioned heat soak, if it's a street car then no big deal. If you race it (track ofcourse), just ice it...

If you do a search and find some info on it you'll see that single plains don't really di that much on 346's and the fast kills them on power under the curve. I was going to change from a fast to a single last year did all this research and went against it. Now if I was F/I or 400ci + yes but you would have to port the Vic jr ect also..
