Tuning 101 Questions...
Tuning 101 Questions... I'm going through my list of what I want to do and was wondering what's involved in all of it. I'm trying to place them in order, I know some things will have to be done right before it gets a custom tune otherwise it'll either throw a code or make it run like ***.
So what mods out of the following will involve a need to tune afterwards?
-2400 stall converter
-3:42's(currently have 2:73's)
-B+M shift kit
-EGR/Smog delete
I will be tuning it eventually but want to see what I can do now and get away with on a stock ecm program.
Also, what's involved in the egr/smog delete? I know what needs to go, but if I start pulling sh*t off now without tuning for it will it throw the CEL?
As always any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm looking at the HP Tuners software or a Predator...the Predator's cheap but I don't know much about either really.
The other option is to just take it to a shop to have it tuned. There's a shop near me that charges $250 to tune a nearly stock car. I don't think I'll be going crazy with it, it's my daily, so maybe that's my best bet.

You'll need to calibrate your speedometer after going to 3.42s from 2.73s or it will be way off and you will accumulate more miles on your odo than you're actually traveling.
