Thumbs up Video of inside a cylinder when firing

Pretty cool video, shows the combustion process in slow motion. That is the intake valve on the right, exhaust valve on the left.

Air/fuel comes in the intake valve, then it shuts
piston comes up and compresses the air/fuel mixture
spark plug ignites mixture, driving piston back down
exhaust valve opens to expel the exhaust

And I'd like to see the version where they show the full 4 cycles! they cut off the overlap. Pretty cool to actually see it though!

Damn that is one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time. As posted I would love to see it full speed and longer going through the exhuast stroke.

That's the only thing I can think of and it only really kinda counts. Awsome that there's someone who used to work on old Detroit Diesels chiming in. Were those mostly used in power generation or like dump trucks and stuff?

All kinds of equipment, boats, generators, trucks, etc.. a lot of them still around. They were made in 4 cylinder- 6cyl v-8, v-12 and v-16

Nice find, I'm wondering how they got enough light in there to get decent images (aside from the combustion)
