Default What is the average cross section for an ls1 head?

Just like the subject says.

I am looking for the average cross section for the ls1 head and I would like to know the numbers and formula you used to get those numbers

The formula is (Port_cc*16.387)/Port Length.
I think a stock port is 205cc times 16.387 to convert cc to inches then divide by port length which I think is 5.488 inches. It comes out to be 2.28 sq in.

That is a great start man, thanks! 2.28 sounds about right either way.

I thought you needed to know the height and width as well?

I do know the stock ls1 heads are 200cc.

How does one measure the port length accurately?
