Default FAst 90 intake Question

Is a fast 90 really worth 400 more dollars over the ls6 and it only gives you 10-15 more hp? Wouldn't it be more reasonable to buy a ls6 intake and use the extra 400 and get 10-15 more hp somewhere else? I need some feeback before i go buy a fast 90 and spend 750 bucks.

From what I have seen, heard, and been told a F.A.S.T will only help more if you have a H/C and all other supporting mods setup. Anything else an Ls6 intake hould be fine.

it also depends on how high you are turning the engine more than 6200-fast, less than 6200-ls6

the real reason for FAST90 is the airflow limit of the LS6 intake. they hit the ceiling around 45lb/min. replace it with FAST and this ceiling disappears.
another reason is for where it makes the peak tq and hp. FAST shifts the peaks usually about 400rpm higher than LS6. this is great for higher reving motors. if you dont rev past 6200 then it will make the difference but nowhere near as much as if you were to use its full potential.

So Basically the ls6 has more low to mid range power while the fast 90 has mid to top end power? I need low to mid range power i already have top end power.

Wieand is supposed to be coming out with a new intake that outflows the LS6 supposedly according to them it made 30 more ft torque @4,000 rpm

and also made 32 more hp on a GTO they tested vs. an LS6 intake.

I think this is going to be the new hot 6500 and under intake and supposedly it is going to sale for 650.00 bucks and is a one piece that comes black like stock or you can get it with a chrome finish.
