Possible to wear out threads?

Possible to wear out threads? I am going on my 5th cam swap in the last 2 months. The cam I will be putting in was in there before so I know how it will run and that is why I am going back to it. My concern is the abuse the thread holes might be taking. Usually I can have the thing apart in less than 2 hours with the motor still hot since I run it to get heat in it before I pull it apart. I do torque all the bolts to the proper specs. Just not sure if the threads get weakened over time. Thought it would be a good question for you guys. Thanks.
