I think the moderators should be more strict as to the posts on this section of the forum...very few of the questions seem to belong and that is coming from me. I am not very smart but very opinionated. HA HA. Chuck

This seems ironic. Post it up in the proper section.

Chuck,
You make a good point. On a typical week, I move about 5 to 7 threads to a more appropriate spot. We've renamed this forum and moved it down to the bottom of the group.

With new threads, if they don't seem to meet the criteria stated in the sticky, I move it as quickly as I can. Old threads that resurface from time to time, I've left alone. I suspect most of the other moderators do the same. This was really a huge problem about six to ten months ago, and inappropriate threads seem to be on the rise again.

I would suggest that if members think that a thread is not appropriate material for this forum, either tell the poster your opinion or don't respond at all and maybe the poster will get the message.

Steve

Thank you Steve. I appreciate all the unsung work you moderators do. LS1tech is one of the best forums on the internet.

Yeah, kinda funny how it went from "What's the best cam for my LS1?" to "What are the optimal valve timing events for my IC engine?"

You made me smile with that comment. I hope that was the intent.

Back OT, keeping things "advanced" is difficult partly because what may be advanced discussion to one reader is basic information to another. It's like walking into a Physics 404 class without ever taking Physics 101.

I don't know of a foolproof solution other than to move threads like Steve said.

Yes sir it was. I got a kick out of a few of those threads when someone responded, "Well it depends. What color is your car?"
