Default high compression vs mid compression

on a solid roller cam setup with race gas what advantage on engine life and under curve power does a high compression (14-1) have verse a (11.5 or 12.5-1).

also, what happens with timing events with higher compression for anti detenation. this would make a huge difference on the cam valve events you want built into the cam right?

my thought is that if you went to a 14-1 compression, you could add more timing and therefore run a cam that opens the valves earlier right?

also, this is going to be a nitrous motor that will see a 250-300 2 stage.
