LT1 Swap To LS1

LT1 Swap To LS1 I drive a 94 Trans Am an i love the body style and dont want to change that. I would like to swap the lt1 for ls1. I know it is possible but is it worth it. What am i looking at for cost and parts. Any help or info. is appreciated. Thanks

I am in the middle of transplanting an LS into my 85 G-body. So far the build has cost me about $5000.00 for engine, harness, headers, mounts, the spacers I needed for my transmission (th350), electric fans, etc. I'm not finished yet so I'm sure there will be some hidden costs yet to bite me. Hopefully that gives you a little information.
You can have the harness for your car modified to accept an LS engine. There are a few companies that build them. Is your car a M/T or an A/T?

Is it worth it to who? I did mine when everyone was saying that it couldn't be done or that it was cheaper to sell my car and buy one with an LS1 already in it. I performed all the labor myself, so that helped. Giving credit where credit is due Magnus had perfromed this swap also, and I used his site as a guide for pining the electrical (I re-pinned my harness myself) .....I haven't looked back....I think it was worth it.....but then again, that 's me......you may start it, get frustrated, not finish and wish you'd never started....so ....depends on the person.

in the middle of mine pretty much! its the 1st car ive actually messed with, & it hasnt really costed all that much, from what i was thinking! but yeah, ild say its worth it! best of luck, pm me if u need some help!
