Tips on Detailing the engine
Hey MAFs, I'm from Bolingbrook. Used to live a block from Janes Ave. and 83rd St.. '79-'91.
Where's everybody go for street racing around there these days? Back in the day it was White Castle on 75th and Lemont. Old enough to remember 111th St. in the Brook? Had starting line, lane 1 & 2 and finish line painted on the road.
Thanks for the info guys! MY track has gravel for the pits and it totally BLOWS!!! Talk about dusty as hell!

First off, there is a product out there that absolutely KICKS THE **** out of any other engine detailer. It's made by "CD-2" and comes in a two bottle system.

Where can this product be bought??
While Jack has some good ideas, I'll add some info for ya...
First off, there is a product out there that absolutely KICKS THE **** out of any other engine detailer. It's made by "CD-2" and comes in a two bottle system. There is a cleaner, and a gloss/polish. Spray the cleaner on and let it sit for about 5 minutes, then hose it off with RUNNING water. The LS1 is pretty much waterproof, so spraying running water will not hurt. DO NOT run water over a hot engine, only when it's completely cold. After doing the cleaner and hosing it off, crank your car and let it warm up for a little bit. This will get rid of the excess water, and won't hurt anything since the heat will make the water evaporate. After letting the motor dry completely, spray on the glossy stuff. It makes all the black on the motor look real shiney, and this stuff works GREAT. Again, spray it on and crank the motor so it can heat soak in. This stuff does not have to be sprayed off. I would give at least one day between steps so the motor has time to cool before spraying each application on.

I agree... my friend used that 2 bottle spray stuff on his car and it worked wonders. The car never is in a garage and has 96,000 miles on it and it made the engine look like this:
Nassty01- Thats sweet and we use to meet up at 4 corners on 75th street and Lemont (Taco Bell and best buy is over there) Then we use to go up to Remington to race, but now there is no where. 111th sucks a$$ now. But its all good, with 66 open all the fun goes up there.
Thanks again fellas..I'll let you know how it turns out..Michael
