1st attempt at shift boot.
I know there are companies that sell boots for our cars but right now I dont even have $ to put gas in this thing. So I decided to make a much needed shift boot since my car didnt come with one. I had the material already so it was just a matter of trying it out.
I got some color matching thread for the top of the boot and the rest I hand stitched while watchin a movie. Not bad for my first try and $2 in a needle and thread set.

It took a couple of hours to stitch it all by hand. I had done a small practice run on some scrap the night before. Im thinking about making another one with some suede pieces Ive had sitting for a while. Maybe half vinyl half suede.

The previous owner already did that. Unfortunately he didnt prep it right and most of it is peeling or flaking off. Im thinking about cleaning it really good and trying it again. I figure it cant get worse than it already is.
As far as making some for other people I dont know that im that good at it. Heck I dont even have a sewing machine.
What do you guys think about attempting to build a dash pad?
