question for those with a power antenna

question for those with a power antenna now i know an antenna question SHOULD be in the electronics forum but its about the "appearance" of the antenna. my antenna just went out so i had it replaced at the dealer and btw, shafted the warranty company for 1200 bucks for misc. repairs 
. who says extended warranties are crap? anyway, the new one they put in is all black and my old one was regular metal with a black tip. anyone else have an all black antenna? its a little thing but i think it looks pretty 
compared to the old one. much more tasteful looking IMO.

Re: question for those with a power antenna i think they come black, but after a while of up and down the black paint gets scratched off, just leaving the very tip black and the rest bear metal, just a thought i had, oh and by the way at the dealer did they just pull the old one out and replace it or did they inspect it? cause mine is out and i took it out and cut off that plastic "chain" inside so it would go down. i was wonderin if they would give me crap about it, sorry so long but thanks -matt

Re: question for those with a power antenna i dont know if they inspected it or not. mine had the same problem, it got stuck up, no problem with the motor so i guess the chain inside broke.
