I like the concept, but it doesn't look right on the sides at the rear of the bumper cover. looks goofy with the splitter sticking out to the side of the bumper a ways. If the sides got narrower and tucked up under the bumper cover right at it's edge it would look a ton better. Right now it really just looks kind of slapped on there and unfinished.

Our bumpers all have like three different body lines. I followed the one that was most prominent which is the middle.

Standing from above you see it follows curves exactly. In 2D pics you just see the bottom line which rolls in and makes it look weird, splitters even look like they stick out more than they do because of this optical effect...

If it was tucked under on the sides you would loose diffusion properties...

I dont get it either...everybody hates the front facia of body kits because the car looks great the way it is but then they throw a piece of plastic on there that still half a foot off the ground? ...... JMO....But dont let me stop anybody from getting one lol.

i also think it would look better if it followed the side contours of the bumper. it looks like its just a big piece of plastic otherwise

i think it looks fine. one thing i did see that i liked was on the shelby gt500s. the splitter on those has a little plastic piece that runs up the edge of the bumper in front of the wheel. would that be a possible option?

I just posted some pics of my t/a with the splitter on fully extended. I really like it, but understand that when it comes to appearance mods, you're never going to have 100% approval, and that's fine. I bought a Trans Am because I don't like the way Camaros look, but I know lots of people like Camaros and don't like Trans Ams.

Seems like there are some real mixed opinions about this. Regardless, I love the look of it, and ultimately, that is all that matters.

I do however, think that it is still too far out. I will be recessing it more still.

Also, I used a wide angle lens to take the pictures, which is likely exaggerating how large it actually is.

I will keep everyone posted with pictures in the near future.
