Re: PRO STAR sizes and back spacing?
First of all, you need to be sure to get the 4.75" lugnut bolt circle size.
15x3.5 only comes in one backspace - 1.75"
15x10 you will need the 7.5" backspace
You will also need 4 ea 5/16" spacers, and long-shank lugnuts in 12mm x 1.5 size, with washers.
Front tires are 165r15 steel belted radials. I have some called "monarch metric" and they were $30 each from Discount Tire.
Rear tires will depend on if you want to run on the street, or track only, or both.
Nitto Drag Radials 275/50/15
ET Streets 26x11.5x15
ET Drags 26x10.5x15
Hoosier Slicks 26x10.5x15

No grinding needed on the fronts. The rears will need to be ground alot though. Any shop with a 4" disk grinder should be able to do this, you have to grind/test-fit/grind/test-fit/grind etc... until they fit without scraping on the caliper.

Re: PRO STAR sizes and back spacing?
I have my rears ground down enuff to run no spacers in back.
I would reccomend following me if you leave the drag rims on the car 24-7 like me. I have oh 7K miles on my calipers.

And you want to get open-ended lugnuts too. otherwise you might have to take them off when you teched in at the track.
Not sure if you need them for the front also.
Long-shank lugnuts all around or just rear?
Would a 15x9 with say 7or7.25 BS require less grinding?

Re: PRO STAR sizes and back spacing?
Tony,
What B.S. for 15" x 8" & 15" x 9" Draglites?
What is the best Draglite wheel size for 26" x 10.5 slicks, 26" x 11.5 ET Streets or 275 50 15 Nittos?

Re: PRO STAR sizes and back spacing?
Bob, I had my Draglites on the car 24/7 and drove it for a full year that way (about 22K miles) and had no issues with brakes, spacers, or anything. The front brakes handle about 80% of the load, so grinding the back ones isn't as critical.
Rick, ALL of the draglites/prostars require the same amount of grinding. They grind on the backside of the face of the wheel, and all of these wheels have the same face. Yes, long shank lugs all the way around.
Matt, you need 5.5" backspace for the 15x8 wheels, and 6.5" backspace for the 15x9 wheels. All three of those tire choices would work the best with a 15x10 wheel, 7.5" backspace.

Sounds like torque city.
I'd go 15x10's with something like a 11.5x26x15 ET Street or 27x11.5x15 Hoosier...
When you put a spacer on back, you don't have as much thread contact. IMO I would not run spacers with stock lugs out back on a car that cuts low 1.5 60 ft times. I have Xtra long wheelstuds but opted to grind down my calipers too. I'm hoping for high 1.4's...
