Stupid Noobie Question Hey guys I just traded in my '01 Dakota R/T for a '01 SS used & it didn't come w/ a manual & I have a really dumb question. 
The headlights won't turn on & off when I turn the headlight ****. Can someone tell me what the 3 symbols are...one is an open circle, the next one is 2 lamps together then the last one is an open circle w/ rays.
I heard from a friend that they are sensor lights that turn on and off if its night & day.

Re: Stupid Noobie Question The lights turn on and off automatically, but you can turn them on during the day using the manual switch. I don't know the symbols, but all the way to the left is off, and all the way to the right is one. I think the middle knotch is the fog lights. You can't turn them off at night unless you mess with the fusses, I have the write up for that mod if you want it.

Re: Stupid Noobie Question Yep, automatic headlights.. i liked them but others did a mod to disable the function. When you start the car AND release the parking brake the lights will come on (if sensor determins its dark enough).. once on you cant turn them off untill you turn off the car.

Re: Stupid Noobie Question straight up is (off, or auto lights)....next one is (parking, fog lights) and the last on is (Headlights)...ALSO to turn the AUTO OFF without messin with the fusses or doin a mod. Just pull the E-Brake up one click and ignore the brake light on the dash. but u have to turn off the car pull up on e brake one click and then crank the car with out letting the brake down. It's not enough for the brakes to even think of ingaging but it works. lol laterz Justin
