Switching Shifters
Switching Shifters i'd like to change out my T-handle shifter **** in my '00 bird with the round **** style from a camaro (v6 3.8 OD).
is it easier to just take the T off and put on the **** (it that's possible), or take the whole console apart and replace the whole shifter mechanism?
any help or advise would be awesome.

Not sure about the V6 ****, but most of them work like this;
Set parking brake, turn ignition to on but do not start, move shift lever to '1st'. In the front of the **** on the stem you'll see a small 'staple'. Remove the staple with a pick or small blade tool. Pull straight off the lever & you're rady to assemble the other new **** in reverse fashion.
I've got a 'Grand Prix' **** on mine.

i'll head out to some of the junk yards and see if i can find one. that's the answer i was hoping for.
Kingc9r- sure i'll sell it. you don't have a **** and just want to trade straight across do you? the T-handle is in perfect shape and is black leather.
