Default capping my HID lowbeams???

.

i have installed 6000k HIDs in for my low beams and they are crazy bright. i haven't looked into this very much, but i figured i'd ask here, first. what's the best way to cap the end of my low beams?

here's a pic...

does the front of the headlight assembly come apart from the back? does the metal piece surrounding the bulb come out easily? any help is welcome.

.

If you aim the lights down it will kill some of the brightness. Isnt the main issue here is too bright?

If I were you I'd enjoy the brightness and not adjust them til you start getting flashed at night.

i haven't been flashed by other drivers, yet. and the cops in my area don't seem to care. but, i was following my wife this morning on my way to work and she said they were too bright in the rear view mirror. i want to reduce glare. i figure adding a plastic or metal cap to the end of the metal piece surrounding the bulb would do this. i just don't know how to get to it without removing the headlamp assy. and heating it to seperate the lens from the back of the assy. - and i really don't want to do that.

Yes whistler mod the headlight and have a muffler shop tac weld a thin part of metal over it. then sand in done and paint it. lot of work but it works.

Everyone hates my lights in my TBSS. truck is lowered but 6000k Phillips low and fog are 3000k. So when they flash there lights I flash mine! High beam 6000k+low 6000K+fogs 3000K all at the same time.

I have been stoped and them just think these "new" cars have too bright of lights from the factory. HEHEHE

^^^^ how long does it take for your highbeams to fully turn on. Cuz mine takes like 3-5seconds to heat up
