I think it needs a little more shape than that flat sheet of mdf. Maybe thats not your final piece, but it needs something other than a sheet with speakers, amp and firebird logo in it.

Ive been throwing around the idea of doing this on mine too.

you should put the speakers in between the seats like they have in the viper, looks bad ***.

Does anyone know what type of carpet below the amps?

It looks thicker than your average speaker enclosure carpet but also not as thick as normal carpet.
