Re: Can the stock wheels be narrowed Back in my street racing days I had my stock 93 Z wheels narrowed from 8" to 5". I used a 215/60/16 tire. Wasn't very cost effective, but is was VERY unique and shed about 8 lbs.

Can the stock wheels be narrowed Could a 16" Chrome T/A wheel be narrowed to use as skinnies for the track? Do they even make a 16" tire that skinnie? The reason I am asking is that I don't want to grind on my callipers to make a set of wheels fit that I may use 5 times a year.
