spots on rims, plz help

Default spots on rims, plz help

i got my car cleaned the other day and now i have noticed spots on the chrome lips on my rims, look like soap but wont come off. factory gray zo6 rims if that helps. any input would be usefull thanks.

if the rims have a chrome lip just take some very fine grade steel wool and lightley rub to see if it comes off. p.s. on the chrome only.

i think they could have the clear coat finish... if so steal wool wont work.

If they are just stubborn spots, trying using like a chrome or aluminum polish. I have the turtle was chrome polish and it works wonders on my chrome wheels.
