I guess you could say it makes it look "modern", if cheap looking non body colored plastic bumpers means modern to you then by all means go for that look if you want to.
i say all T/As should have the CETA and it should be in black. i hate it in other colors.

ceta mods dont look cheap though. at least the gloss/semi-gloss ones.
