Wow, I wish mine would have turned out that good!! I just sprayed mine with rubberized undercoating, so you can't see the imperfections!!

Good job Ryan. I looks (almost ) as good as mine...lol

no tools or know how are needed. I just grabbed some supplies and gave it a whack since I hate the stupid cup holder and i dont smoke.

just take your time and keep your cool and you too could have a smooth console

I had absolutly no expeirience with any sort of body work and mine looks absolutly perfect. people think it came that way.

good luck to all that attempt this mod...

thanks for the compliments guys!

I got the pedal's at auto zone for $19.99!! I like them a lot!

Here is how i did the console:

1. Remove ashtray lid
2. Use 50 grit sandpaper along the edges of the cup holder and the ashtray.
3. Put (sandable) plastic adhesive around the ashtray and cupholder.
4. Wrap both area's with bumper reinforcement mesh.
5. Use the sandable plastiv adhesive to fill in all the hole's in the mesh.
5. Let it sit until it is hardend.
6. Spread Dura-glass over the entire area.
7. Let it sit until it is hardend
8. Sand this down to until the finish is smooth and flush with the arm rest...
9. blow off the piece with an air compressor (or something similar)
10. Fill in any pinholes with bondo, and sand smooth.

I'm not gonna get into the step's for painting unless someone wants me to... Also keep in mind i work at a body shop.. so i had access to all of this stuff for free. a power sander helps a lot..

Also, make sure you use a lot of primer before you paint, because chances are you will miss some pinholes during the bondo process. after you primer just wet sand away any imperfections...

Any body shop will have the products i mentioned in the how to.

Later
Ryan
