Default 2002 firehawk formula spoiler

Okay guys I have killed myself looking for a place to buy the 2002 10th formula spoiler. That things looks so sweet and I wouldn't have to buy the whole damn hatch to make it work. Anyways i've baught the ram-air HO hood from slp so that will look really good now I want to get the spoiler. Is it possible to buy this thing new from somewhere or am I just on a wild goose chase. I've heard that slp will not sell certain items off from the firehawk unless you can supply a build # and the rpo code for the part you need. Is this part one of those deals.

Well first off, I asume the spoiler you are talking about is the IROC inspired spoiler. Its similar to the firebird spoiler except it is higher and has a line of break lights going all the way across. This spoiler was only an option on 2001 10th Anniversary Edition and 2002 Firehawks based on the Trans Am, not the formula. I know cause I have a 2002 Firehawk TA with this spoiler. This is because the formula spoiler is part of the rear hatch while the trans am's spoiler is bolted on. Also you heard correct, you can only get Firehawk replacement parts from SLP if you supply a VIN & Build Number.

Like Sapphire said, you have to have the T/A hatch for starters. Second, you're not going to find it in the aftermarket because it was sold as original eqpt. only. The only place to buy is in the replacement market. If I'm not mistaken, it will also require some drilling in the hatch.
