Well, here's what I did. I first bought the 1500 degree engine enamel paint, it's used to paint engine blocks. I think it was called "Ford (GASP) Red". I also got those foam paint brushes, it looks exactly like a regular brush, but instead of bristles, it's got a piece of foam. I then took my car to one of those, "Do-It-Yourself" car washes and used the tire cleaner (DO NOT get this stuff on the paint of your car) and sprayed it thoroughly on the tires, wheels, and calipers. That seemed to get it to take off all the crud on there. I then gave the car a quick bath, and sprayed all the soap/tire cleaner off. When I got home, I took off each wheel at a time and brushed the paint on. Simple as that! And for those of you that think it will chip off or wear away. I've had it on for almost a year now, and it made it through this last winter up here in the frozen tundra where they salt the roads on a daily basis and I drive about 30 miles one way to work.

I put about 3 coats on each caliper and haven't done any maintenance on it at all. All I do to clean it is that same tire/wheel cleaner at the car wash. I haven't even had to touch it up at all and I get compliments constantly!

You got the best story I ever heard about how to paint calipers <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
Thanks bro ! I already painted one, gonna paint another one tomorrow, it takes some time, coz i can lift my car up only at one place at a time.

Thanks. Honestly, this way seems to be the easiest/best I've heard yet. That foam brush kicks ***, just be sure to buy more than one. I got done with three wheels, and started the fourth one when the foam started to rip. My other car was having work done to it (and I wasn't dare driving with only three calipers painted!!! haha) so I had to work magic on that fourth caliper.

I'm guessing that the reason mine has lasted so well up here is because of that engine enamel. Be sure to get high quality paint!
