Claybar
Claybar sorry to be asking this i'm sure it's on here somewhere but when I did a search I couldn't find it, but does the claybar get rid of swirl marks in paint or do I have to use something else as well?
not really instended for removing anything other than dirt, grime, bugs, overspray, tar, burnout rubber, etc etc. basically the small stuff that gets scraped around on your paint while you are waxing, CAUSING swirl marks.

A polish will fill swirl marks using micro-fillers. An abrasive polish will remove swirl marks by cutting away at it. A clay bar will pull out any airborn contaminants found bonded into the top layer of clearcoat.
Wash car
Clay car
Wash car again
Meguirs SwirlX (by hand or DA)
Meguirs NXT Wax 2.0, let this wax sit on the car for atleast 30 minutes before removing....or more if you have time. This helps it cure and also last longer.
Megiuars has some really nice new formulas coming out that work well. Also, all these things you can find in a local Pep Boys/ Advance or Autozone vs. online if you needed them asap.
1) Wash car really well
2) Clay bar the car with alot of lubrication (water/soap) and rinse off excess crap
3) Polish the car with the correct grade of polishing compound with a buffer. Wipe down the car really well for next step.
4) Last step is to wax and "seal the paint" and you'll be good to go
Results: Paint will be smoother than a babies ***
These steps are the correct way of doing it if you have some swirl marks. If the car doesnt have swirl marks and it just feels rough to the touch, you can skip the polishing step but the polishing always brings out that extra shine to the paint. Good luck and be careful if you've never used or tried polishing/rubbing compound and a buffer/orbital before!!!
