Tire advice Well its time to get new tires all the way around on my c5. I need some advice on what to get, i know i dont want runflats, god those things are awful. I want something that is rather sticky in the back for better launches, im thinking the nitto 555r's as ive heard so much good stuff about them. Let me tel you the driving i do so that maybe you can suggest a good tire combination for me. My c5 is a recreational driver, i drive it very frequently in the summer but only on nice days and not when its raining, the only time im in the rain is if i get stuck in it which is almost never. I dont really take it to the track much except after ive done some mods to get a new run time. I do a lot of street racing though. I want somehting that will give me better launches in the street but i dont want to loose out on its "road course" handeling skills so i was thinking aobut going with 555r's in the back and somehitng else i nthe front that will help the car launch better but still handle really well in the bends. thanks for your help!

Re: Tire advice I put the Nitto NT555's on the front and the 555R's on the back last wekend. The R's seem to hook up pretty well and the Nittos are cheap compared to the Goodyears or the BFG's. The were $155.00ea for the fronts and $201.00ea for the rears in 270/40/17's. They are a little noisy but that's to be expected. So far so good.
